Week 6, Thing 15

I can see that Library 2.0 will help expand services to the community. The future of libraries and librarians are constantly changing at a faster pace than ever before in history. I read the first three articles, which were all interesting. I thought the third one seemed to be an advertisement for OCLC.
I enjoyed Into A New World of Librarianship, by Michael Stephens the best. He feels the most important traits of Library 2.0 are that: Librarians 2.0 plans for their users, embraces Web 2.0 tools, controls technolust, makes good, yet fast decisions, is a trendspotter, and Librarian 2.0 gets content. Therefore "Librarian 2.0, then, is the “strategy guide” for helping users find information, gather knowledge and create content."
